We just want to say a quick "Thank you" to the staff at Gartman Technical Services. We sincerely appreciate the opportunity to be the "Featured Customer" for this issue of the GTS Newsletter.

The Ms. Senior Arizona Pageant has, for the past 18 years, been promoting the quality of life for lovely, talented women over the age of 60. Our goal is to emphasize and bring awareness to the value, the vitality, and the inner beauty of our senior citizens.

Our contestants for the title of "Ms. Senior Arizona 2008" have recently met each other and are eagerly awaiting formal rehearsals, which will begin after the first of the year. We still have room for a few more ladies for the 2008 Pageant which will take place on March 1, 2008 at the Maricopa County Events Center (previously the Sun Dome). The contestants will compete in four categories: Judge's Interview (30%), Philosophy Of Life (20%), Evening Gown (20%), and Talent (30%). And of course, we have the "Final Question" for the top five. Our contestants come from all walks of life, are very talented, and are excellent examples of "The Age of Elegance". The Pageant has often been referred to as "the best show in town" and our audience typically reaches 2,000 or more. Danny Davis, from KOY Radio, has been a steadfast MC for the Pageant.

Following the Pageant competition, most of our ladies join the Arizona Cameo Club and voluntarily participate in the community by performing in the many shows offered for Care Facilities, Hospitals, Schools, etc. Some of our ladies undertake more ambitious projects; our winner of the Ms. Senior Arizona 2004 crown, Herme Sherry, was one of these. Herme lost her mother to Alzheimer's Disease in 2001 and had enlisted as an active volunteer for the Alzheimer's Association - Desert Southwest Chapter in an attempt to ease the burden for others if she could. With her new level of exposure she wanted to do more, so she founded the first "Cameo Black-Tie Ball" to benefit the local Alzheimer's Association. The first Ball was held in January 2005 and the first three events combined to generate donations in excess of $100,000 for Alzheimer's. Herme has continued to co-chair the event with the Ms. Senior Arizona Pageant Directors, and is looking forward to raising the bar and increasing the donations again this year. The fourth annual Cameo Ball is scheduled for March 29, 2008 at the Scottsdale Hilton.

The Ms. Senior Arizona Pageant has also sponsored, staffed, and produced "The Ms. Senior Arizona Follies" in Prescott, Wickenburg, Ahwatukee, and Pebble Creek. The proceeds from these show are fully donated to the programs of the local Alzheimer's Association and, like the proceeds from the Cameo Ball, are used exclusively in Arizona and southern Nevada.

Tickets for the Pageant, and/or the Cameo Ball, can be reserved by calling 602-788-9556.

If you, or any of your friends, would like to become a Ms. Senior Arizona contestant please contact us. Or if you would like to help us ease the burden for the victims of Alzheimer's and their families, please call us at 602-788-9556

We are grateful for all the support we receive from GTS for our charitable endeavors. GTS has really made a huge difference in the "quality of life" for our organization. They have done a wonderful job in preparation, hosting, and maintenance of our three websites, www.msseniorarizona.com , www.arizonacameoclub.com , and www.cameoball.com. The addition of the website for our Cameo Ball has been such a wonderful tool to help us raise money for the Alzheimer's Association - Desert Southwest Chapter.

Thank You Gartman Technical for all you do,

Marilyn Joyce & Robin Colagrande
